The movie is based on the earthquake that shook the state of Sabah in June 2015. With a magnitude of 6.0, it was the strongest earthquake to affect Malaysia since 1976. Climbers were caught unaware on Mount Kinabalu, resulting in casualties. The movie explores the feelings of the stranded victims and the sacrifices made by the `malim gunung` and local heroes in trying to save lives.
