Synopsis

"The Canal" is an Irish horror film that tells the story of David, a film archivist, who finds out his house was the setting of a ghastly murder in 1902. At the same time, he discovers his wife Alice is having an affair with one of her clients. When Alice suddenly goes missing, the police starts eyeing David as the main suspect. Trying hard to prove his innocence and insisting that there is something evil in his house, which had something to do with his wife's disappearance, David slowly spirals into insanity.
