Cheong, a Chinese man, falls sick after a row with his neighbour. His wife Yan desperately seeks a cure for his unexplainable and difficult ailment. She sought the help of doctors, various medicines and even consulted various village shamans. Throughout the journey, Yan endures strange encounters and unearthly experiences, as well as much difficulties and sacrifices to find a cure for her husband. Mysteries, legends, and shamanism surround Yan, with unknowns yet to be solved. The story is weaved with the agricultural and cultural aspects of Kedah`s folklore and history, and explores the various spiritual beliefs among the main ethnic communities in Kedah, Malaysia. Chong Keat Aun won the Best New Director award at the 57th Golden Horse Film Festival in Taipei for this film which he wrote, acted and directed.
