While taking part in the Tour de France cycling race, Champion is mysteriously kidnapped by the French Mafia. His grandmother, Madame Souza, and her dog, Bruno, travel across the ocean to Belleville to rescue him. There they met the renowned Triplets of Belleville - three eccentric female music-hall stars from the `30s who decide to help Madame Souza and Bruno rescue Champion.
