Taxi driver Usami Koji is tasked with driving 85-year-old Takano Sumire from Shibamata, Tokyo to a nursing home in Hayama, Kanagawa. Sumire asks Koji to make a detour, saying, I`d like to stop by a few places before my final visit to Tokyo. As they travel together in the taxi, Sumire gradually opens up to him and begins to share her tragic past. This chance encounter between the two will greatly change the hearts and lives of the two.
