Synopsis

A remake of the Tamil film "Amma Kanakku", which in turn is a remake of the Hindi film "Nil Battey Sannata". Sujatha is a single mother who does multiple jobs at houses and factories to ensure her teenage daughter Athira gets a proper education. However, Athira neglects her studies, thinking that being the offspring of a domestic help means she will only end up like her mother. Sujatha then does something unexpected to teach her daughter about the importance of education.
