Synopsis

Her husband has gone missing for years, forcing Aasiya, a Muslim half-widow, to be the only one taking care of her 11-year-old daughter and ailing mother-in-law. The young trainee nurse, who lives with her family in a Kashmiri village, wants to move on by declaring her husband dead. However, obtaining his death certificate proves to be difficult as a corrupt government official stands in her way.
