In the 1920's Adriatic Sea, only one pilot rules the skies: Marco "Porco" Rosso, a talented pilot, whose face has been transformed into that of a pig by a mysterious spell. Porco lives a carefree life as a bounty hunter protecting airships from marauding pilots. But when a hotheaded American pilot arrives looking to challenge the Crimson Pig, Porco enlists the help of Fio, a feisty young engineer, to rebuild his plane for the big fight-a dogfight that restores honor, love and perhaps even break a spell.
