Synopsis

A municipal ordinance has banned stray dogs from the village, but a golden retriever challenges the order and starts roaming the local streets, becoming particularly attached to Meno, a child of ten, son of the mayor Antonio Bianco. Gradually Italo (as the dog will be named) will become part of the life of the community, accompanying the visiting tourists, attending Mass in church and playing with children of the village. His presence will sweeten the lives of all and he will play Cupid between Meno’s father, a widower, and the local school teacher, as well as between Meno and his play mate.
