Synopsis

45-year-old Kesse is a third generation fisherman based in a rural part of Northern Denmark. The life and ways of the modern age are putting pressure on the smaller fishermen who needs to compete with larger fishing enterprises, and Kesse is struggling to keep his fishery business going. Due to increasing financial pressure, Kesse is forced to find alternative ways to solve his problem, and this leads to him meeting and falling in love with Gerd, a female Marine Biologist from Copenhagen.
