After its impressive box office run, Kalki 2898 AD is headed to streaming. The Indian sci-fi epic tells the story of a dystopian society that forces women to give their lives during a life-extending experiment. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the Telugu-language movie was the most expensive epic in India's history at an equivalent budget of approximately $75 million. It was released on June 27 and brought in an impressive $131 million at the global box office and broke a major Indian record with its immense budget.

Though it has been less than two months since Kalki 2898 AD's release, it is already coming to streaming. According to a report by Variety, the movie is expected to stream on August 22. It will be available on Prime Video in four different languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, and it will feature English subtitles. It will also be released simultaneously on Netflix with a Hindi dub.

Kalki 2898 AD was a critical and commercial success, and its streaming run should bring further attention to the movie. Word-of-mouth will be a source of support, as critics and audience alike have offered praise. It currently sits at an 83% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 89% audience score.
