Synopsis

This documentary takes its name from the live gospel album that The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, recorded in 1972. It follows the making of the album as the singer recorded it live at Los Angeles` New Temple Missionary Baptist Church, accompanied by the Alexander Hamilton-directed Southern California Community Choir. James Cleveland is featured on piano, Bernard Purdie on drums and Chuck Rainey on bass guitar.
