Synopsis

Salgueiro Maia was the heroic army captain who commanded the military action during the revolution that overthrew the fascist regime in Portugal in 1974. This powerful film tells the story of a Portuguese hero who asked nothing for himself but everything for his country. 25th April 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the 1974 Carnation Revolution, one of the most remarkable events in Portugal`s contemporary history.
