Synopsis

Fionn Whitehead from Dunkirk plays Gyllen, a rebellious British teen who escapes a stifling family vacation by stealing his stepdad’s campervan and driving through Morocco and Spain to visit his real father in France. He hits the road with the thoughtful, undocumented William (Stéphane Bak), who is visiting from the Congo. Trying his best to stay under the radar, William is heading towards a French refugee camp in search of his missing brother. But it doesn’t take long for their personalities to rub off on each other, and they soon cheerfully dub themselves “Team Crazy, Risky, Stupid”. This cross-cultural road movie, directed by Sebastian Schipper (German Film Awards winner, Victoria), boasts an insightful script and poignant performances.
